An evening at the beach

We took our family down to Point Peron. I was hoping to catch an awesome sunset and also tire the boys out. The boys tired out, the sunset decided that it was going to be not so awesome. At least the boys had a ball tho :) On the downside, I also lost my Op/Tech camera strap. It was super comfy too *sniff*

Aran and Luke just love racing. If you want them to clean up, finish dinner or empty the dishwasher and they're not keen, just make it a race! It apparently makes stuff that previously was impossible, magically happen.

Joel loves 'helping', or simply trying to unzip the camera bag to let MORE sand in. And Aran thinks that a rocky and sandy hill makes a good slide. I'm sure Target likes it when the clothes wear out. :)

Jo took this photo of Luke, in her words, 'I actually took a cool photo!' :D I'm not sure what's going on here with Joel, but he doesn't look happy. Probably because Mum has the camera again, not Dad ;-)

Since there were a 'few' seagulls around, I attempted a few shots of them in flight. 300mm on a full frame camera isn't really long enough :(

  1. nice to see photos of your three monkeys at the beach :)
Hayden wants to know why Aran is 'stuck in the mud' :) :)
How much sand did you have to tip out when you got home?? haha...Joel is so cute...love his outfit - not going to loose him in the dark!
Just wondering how on earth you managed to loose a camera strap?? they don't come of that easily!
oh and feel free to throw the 300 this way if you feel the need to get something longer HAHAHA

  2. Hayden's cute :) I haven't tipped the sand out yet. I did get a hoodful when placing a lens end into the sand accidently tho.

The strap unclips, and then I clip my camera to the bag. I put the unclipped bit in my pocket and it fell out somewhere along the way. Jo had a look for it, but it was super windy, so it's gone for good :(

You're welcome to get me a 500mm and then you can have the 300mm :)
